Transport for NSW and Sydney Ferries operator Transdev are committed to delivering the best possible ferry services for you.

What will be changing in 2020/2021?

Now complete: F4 Cross Harbour route split

To deliver more frequent services when and where they are needed, the existing F4 Cross Harbour route has been separated into an East and West route.

The East route, the F9, operates between Watsons Bay, Rose Bay and Circular Quay.

The West route, the F4, operates between Circular Quay , Barangaroo and Pyrmont, and include Milsons Point, McMahons Point and Balmain East.

Coming soon: F1 Manly services improvements

The frequency of services between Circular Quay and Manly will be improved from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes on weekdays, and every 10 minutes during the day on weekends. The improved frequency, especially on weekends when demand is at its highest, will give customers more choice in when they travel.

To enable this change we will introduce three brand new Emerald Class ferries. These vessels are fully accessible with capacity for around 400 customers. The new vessels have been designed to deliver a superior customer experience and will add to the iconic Sydney Ferries fleet a new modern look.

They will also complete the trip in around 22 minutes, almost 10 minutes faster than the current Manly ferry.
