On Demand is a new public transport service designed to improve connections to transport hubs and popular destinations near you. The On Demand ferry trial will run for an initial period of six months in your area to make getting around the Bays Precinct quicker and easier.
The On Demand ferry operates in the Bays Precinct between Barangaroo Wharf in Darling Harbour, Pirrama Park and Fish Market Wharf in Pyrmont, and Blackwattle Bay Wharf in Glebe.
Monday to Friday, 7am to 10pm (excluding public holidays).
Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am to 9.30pm.
Book your ferry trip in advance via the Tranzer app. Or you can just turn up to selected wharves in the service area and order a ferry on the spot.
Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
Book your personalised ride, choosing a time and location, directly from your smartphone and pay with your connected credit card.
You’ll be notified time of pick up through the app.
You can also “turn up and go” and book your trip on the kiosk at an On Demand ferry wharf, then pay on board by credit card tap on and tap off.
The kiosk will advise the expected pick up time.Then just relax, wait for your ferry, and enjoy the ride!
A single trip costs $6.12 for adults and $3.06 for eligible concession holders and children up to the age of 15.
Children aged three and under travel for free.
